Oblate Volunteers & Retreat Host Opportunities
During the Coffee Talk session after Abbot Isaac’s class on Oblate Sunday, July 7, we will have a session on retreat hosting.
Brother Apollo will give us an overview of the new opportunities for being a retreat host.
This is a wonderful program of Benedictine spirituality and a tremendous help to the abbey and retreat groups. Additionally it is a way to show visitors that a monastic community is more than just the monks, but the loving people that come together out of love for God. All are welcome to attend!!
The oblate volunteer program has been reorganized with Brother Giovanni resuming coordinating oblate volunteer work and volunteer communications. Many thanks to Beth and George Davis for their wonderful and dedicated work in helping to coordinate the oblate volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at the abbey please contact Brother Giovanni (John Bakas) 813-228-8015 or email stleooblates@gmail.com.
Coffee Talk meets in the Lake Room after the Oblate Class. There is a short break to get coffee and desserts.

Important note for new people coming to oblate events: If you RSVP for Oblate Sunday or the Benedictine Circle, but have not signed up for the oblate email list, you may miss notices of upcoming meetings and events. It is easy and free to be added to the email list. CLICK HERE.
RSVPing does not add you to the email list and joining the email list does not RSVP you for events! Each is a separate system.
